The Jerusalem Haggadah sets a new esthetic standard for modern Judaica. Its pages not only engage the mind with surprising visual allusions to
the text of the Haggadah, but delight the eye with an unexpected mixture
of ancient and modern motifs, expressed with a delicacy of color,
outstanding draftsmanship and design thought to have all but disappeared
in our day.
In conceiving and executing the Haggadah's illuminated pages, Hershberg worked closely with renowned Jerusalem scribe Yitzchak Pludwinski to assure full harmony between the illuminations and the exceptional calligraphy throughout.
